In February, President Nelson invited us to "hear Him better and more often."

  1. One thing that wasn't part of a conference talk that really stood out to me came from the closing prayer of the Saturday morning session. She asked our Heavenly Father to help us to "do good, be good, and become better." That was such a powerful prayer, and led me to think about how I could become better with His help.

    1. I have often wished they would include the Prayers offered in Conference as part of the General conference Ensign issue. There have been so many prayers I have tried to write down after but I can't remember that I want to. Good thing they are recorded for us to watch and listen to again

  2. I find myself going back to what I call “the bookends of conference”. In the opening session hearing the choir sing “It is Well with My Soul” just touched my heart, and then when President Nelson closed the conference with his apostolic blessing, I found within me a genuine desire to be better, and hope that I actually can. I think the prophet summed it up for me when he said “Go Forward IN Faith”

  3. I loved Elder Holland's talk about HOPE and the brightness of hope. " One of the most indispensable virtues during times of hardship is hope." Elder Holland inspired me and gave all of us a something to look forward to: "be equally committed to freeing the world from the virus of hunger and freeing neighborhoods and nations from the virus of poverty, and hope for safer schools and the gift of personal dignity for every child." We are a hopeful, giving society and we can do this with the help of the Lord.

  4. In President Nelson closing remarks, he said, “We have called for a global day of fasting and prayer, that the present pandemic may be controlled, caregivers protected, the economy strengthened, and life normalized.” My heart was filled to think that people all over the world, even those not of our faith, were following the Lord’s prophet to fast on April 10th. I appreciate having a living prophet to lead us and guide us these latter days.

  5. I was really impressed with Laudy Kaouk Alvarez who spoke Saturday night. I also share her testimony of the blessings of the priesthood. I am so grateful for the privilege to have seen the power of those blessings.
I am so grateful to have a husband who is a worthy priesthood holder. It allows me to take the sacrament at home and renew my covenants with Jesus Christ and God even though we are unable to meet in Church because of the pandemic.
The following is not conference related. I want to thank the Presidency of the Relief Society for giving us sisters a printed copy of the Relief Society Declaration. I think it has been more than a year now. I have lived with depression for over 40 years now. It gets worse during the short days of winter. I came across this declaration last fall and decided to read it and then memorized it. It has helped me so much. I recite it to myself every morning.
I let each declaration sink deep in my heart. It reminds me that my life has meaning, purpose and direction.
So, thank you so much for giving each sister a printed copy.

  6. This whole conference was especially wonderful and memorable. Each talk spoke love, peace and hope to my soul. Something we all need desperately at this time.

I really enjoyed listening to Pres. Jean Bingham, in the Sunday evening session. She explained so well how we must work together to prepare this world for the return of our Savior. Satan would have us think that
either men or women have the most important role. Sis. Bingham quoted our prophet in saying, “ Our roles are complementary rather than competitive. Each have responsibilities that are equal in importance.” We cannot accomplish this great work, one without the other.

I’m looking forward to re-reading and studying All of these talks once again. I’m thankful for the direction they give us and the assurance that all will be well again.

  7. Hey, I hope everyone is doing well. I enjoyed conference. It was nice to have something normal amid the chaos.
I am not sure my favorite talk. At first I felt all the talks were focusing on just the restoration. As I have gone back to study them I realized that the restoration was the focal point that lead to the real topics, Hope, Faith, Charity, Love of God, the Atonement, the value of the Book of Mormon, Missionary Work, the importance of the Temple and temple work, The gathering of Israel, the second coming and finally, the restoration of all things that bring us closer to our Heavenly Father. It was like 40 different themes all using the same object for the object lesson. But isn't that what we are as a people? All individuals focusing on a common goal. It truly was an amazing experience and I look forward to restudying the conference.
